TERMS OF PAYMENT
A deposit of $200.00 is payable as a holding deposit/booking fee. Full payment for total hire period is to be paid on pickup unless paying with personal cheque or internet deposit then we require balance to be paid one week prior to the departure date.
Booking fees are non-refundable, and all rates are inclusive of GST.
A security BOND of $1000.00 is payable prior to departure which covers insurance costs. Bond refunds will be returned within 7 days. This allows time for Just Go Away Pty Ltd (JGA) to conduct full maintenance check prior to release of funds and deduct any necessary amounts as outlined in Terms and Condition clauses.
Should any payment terms be contravened, JGA reserves the right to cancel hire agreement at any given time. In this event the holding deposit/booking fee of $200.00 will not be reimbursed. JGA reserves the right to refuse hire to any persons deemed unsuitable.
CANCELATIONS
In the event that the hirer needs to cancel their booking the holding deposit is retained. This holding deposit may be transferred to another hire period within 6 months of the cancellation.
HIRE RESTRICTIONS
The hirer/driver must be at least 21 years of age at time of commencement of hire period.
The hirer/driver must possess a full/unrestricted driver’s licence issued in Australia - not a learners or provisional licence. A copy of the hirer/drivers licence will be taken by JGA prior to departure.
CLEANING
The Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan is expected to be returned to JGA in the same condition upon which it was released. The hirer is expected to return the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan clean and tidy.
Should the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan require what is deemed upon return require excess cleaning, a charge against the bond will incur. Excessive cleaning fee rates start at a cost of $60.00 and are charged on an hourly basis plus cost of cleaning products. If the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan upon return is found to have gone off-road and is therefore excessively dirty and covered in red dust, the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan will require a professional detail and therefore incur an extra charge at the owner’s discretion which shall be deducted from the bond.
The use of aerosol cans (e.g.- deodorant, insect repellent), is not permitted inside the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan, as it has been shown to affect the integrity of the canvas.
SMOKING
Smoking is NOT permitted inside the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan or annexe area.
PETS
No pets are permitted inside the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan and/ or annexes.
RESTRICTED AREAS
The Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan is to be driven at all times on sealed/ bitumen roads. The ONLY exception allowed being when the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan exits a sealed road and enters onto a National Park track or camping area. JGA Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan is not permitted to travel on any road marked as “4WD Only”.
Other restricted areas include:
- Gibb River Road
- Simpson Desert
- Birdsville Track
- Oonadatta Track
- Tanami Track
- Canning Stock Route
- Sturt Stoney Desert
- Gun Barrel Highway
- Cape York Peninsula
- All areas north of Cairns.
Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan are not permitted to enter any region that is being or expected to be affected by a cyclone. Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan are not to be taken across river crossings or swollen creeks.
When driving/towing a Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan weather conditions MUST be taken into consideration prior to embarking - wet roads, high winds will all affect towing ability. Any damage resulting from breach of these conditions will have to be paid for in full by the hirer.

BREAKDOWNS
In the event of a breakdown JGA’s office must be notified as soon as is practicable. It is the hirer’s responsibility to make sure that the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan is safe at all times. JGA shall not be liable for expenditure, inconvenience, loss or damage incurred by the hirer in the event of a breakdown.
DAMAGE
If any damage does occur to the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan depending on severity part of or the entire BOND of $1000.00 shall be retained at the discretion of JGA to cover costs for the repair and/or insurance excess.
Annexes and/or awnings are not covered by insurance with provider CIL, any damage to the annexe/and or awning is the responsibility of the hirer.
Should the cost for repair/ replacement exceed the bond of $1000.00, the hirer will be required to pay the excess. Any damage to the tyres and rims of the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan in excess of what is considered normal wear and tear will be at the cost of the hirer and deducted from the bond. Should a tyre(s) puncture, blow or shred the tyre(s) must be replaced at cost to the hirer. If damage sustained is considered within the scope of normal wear and tear the hirer will be reimbursed for costs upon return of bond. Receipts for repairs must be provided.
The Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan is not to be altered or tampered with in any way either internally or externally. Nothing is to be tied to the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan externally either to the sides or top. No heavy hard items are to be stored on the floor of the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan eg: Eskys, BBQ’s or gas bottles etc, as they may mark or tear the flooring. The cost of any items from the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan either external or internal that is found to be broken, missing, substituted or lost will be deducted from the bond. Any damage deemed malicious damage that occurs during the hire contract of the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan is the full financial responsibility of the hirer plus any fees incurred in the recovery of those costs.
Do not leave awning set up in wet/windy conditions and whilst Camper Trailer/Caravan is unattended.
JGA takes no responsibility for the hirer’s personal belongings.
ACCIDENTS
In the event of an accident occurring involving the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan the hirer is responsible for obtaining the following information necessary for insurance purposes:
- Name, D.O.B, address, drivers licence details of any other drivers involved.
- The registration, make, model, and colour of any other vehicles involved.
- The name and address details of any witnesses present at the time of the incident.
This information is to be reported to the police by the hirer and given to JGA as soon as is practicable following the incident. The hirer is responsible for making a report to the police in the event of any accident involving the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan, in the event of either the theft of or part there of the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan or its contents/equipment or any malicious damage caused to the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan. The hirer must obtain a police incident report number for JGA’s insurance purposes.
SUB-LETTING
The hirer is NOT permitted to sub-lease or lend the camper trailer to any other persons. The Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan remains the property of JGA.
LATE RETURNS
A 1⁄2 day hire cost will be charged to the hirer and deducted from the bond in the event that the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan is returned later than 3pm.
Charges are at either peak or off-peak rate.

IMPORTANT HIRE INFORMATION
A vehicle may tow a laden trailer of up to one and a half times the unladen mass of the tow vehicle, provided that the tow bar is rated accordingly and the trailer is fitted with brakes that comply with the requirements stipulated in the Australian design rule ADR38.
All JGA Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan vary in Tare weight (the unladen weight of the trailer) from approx 1000 - 1392kg each. Please check your vehicles towing specifications for confirmation.
Customers must have a 50mm tow ball installed to the towing vehicle. The Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan tow ball weight varies from 90 – 156kg.
- A 7 pin flat plug is required for the camper trailers and Pop Top while a 12 pin flat plug is required for the Expanda.
- If your vehicle isn’t fitted with a brake controller unit JGA has a mobile unit that can be easily installed (at no extra cost).
- Caravan towing mirrors can also be supplied by JGA (at no extra cost).
Camper trailer returns are due back no later than 3pm on the last day of the hire period. JGA are prepared to negotiate a later return time,
though this must be approved by JGA prior to the hire period.
A demonstration of the following will be provided by Just Go Away personnel at the commencement of hire:
- How to connect and disconnect the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan to your vehicle
- How to connect the brake controller unit to your vehicle.
- How to erect the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan.
- Instructions on how to set up the awning.
- How to connect/disconnect power, water and gas.
- How to engage the battery power override.
- How to set up internal table & additional beds • Operation of both the stove and fridge.
- Where all items supplied are located.
- How to pack up the Camper Trailer/Expanda/Pop Top Caravan internally and externally.
